Strength tests

Strength tests are part of the Shape Up! Kids and Adults protocols.

What is a muscle dynamometer?

The muscle dynamometer enables 22 isolated joint movement patterns in four resistance modes — isokinetic, isometric, isotonic, and passive. This lets researchers measure true muscle activation through joint isolation, with both concentric and eccentric resistance options.

What to expect

You’ll be positioned and secured in the dynamometer based on which joint is being assessed. The procedure typically takes 15–20 minutes depending on the protocol.
